A brief introduction; I’m 31 years old and determined to live an interesting and varied life, doing the things that make me happy and excited and refusing to believe there’s any reason I can’t. I don’t have a clue what the next few years will look like and that makes me feel alive.
I love the outdoors and travelling. I’m adventurous but in different ways to my husband Adam who lives and breathes bushcraft. He is more suited to life in the forest, on the water, or high up on a mountain than he is in ‘civilisation’. Bushcraft and survival skills are a huge part of his life and part of his identity, therefore part of mine too. Life as a bushcrafter’s wife is interesting at times and never dull.
Adam and I are quite an independent couple with our own interests and we give each other space to explore what we love. Adam is soon to head out to Canada for four months (from December 2018) to live in the boreal forest – a lifelong dream of his.
Although we are worlds apart in some ways, we also share some interests like a love of wildlife, hiking, mountain adventures, canoeing, kayaking and camping. We also love to travel together and embark on adventures whenever we can, many of which you will find in this blog and MANY of which are yet to be written.
We are also interested in reducing our plastic usage, helping to protect our planet and wildlife, and being self-sufficient where we can. It’s pretty early days but we are making gradual changes all the time.
Our lives move at such a pace, we’ve both been described by friends as ‘wild spirits’ and this blog helps me to capture our journey, meet others, and maybe learn and share a thing or two along the way.
